Rocky Mountain Church
Our Discovery Land offers lessons for nursery aged children through sixth grade. We believe that all children can learn about who God is and the gospel, even at the earliest stages in nursery. Our children participate in a review game and then transition to worship. They then engage in Discovery Time which helps them create, act out, build cooperation as they apply or unpack concepts they will learn during the Bible lesson. Our Bible lessons center around our 4 Rights Biblical Worldview and engage kids in using their BIbles as well as our timelines, maps and resources in each classroom. From birth to age 11 students are memorizing one of our top twelve scripture passages and learning how to apply them. All of our students also learn the gospel message through our wordless book, which also helps give them an easy tool to share the gospel with others. Once every few months students engage in an in depth mission lesson where they learn about the people, the country, what life is like and how to partner with them in prayer.
The last Sunday of every month, along with our last Sunday fellowship brunch, we invite all kids to join their families in church. We believe children have a place in the worship center with their parents and other members of our church family where they are welcomed and celebrated. During these services our students serve as greeters, ushers, sound and lead the congregation in a few worship songs that we do in our children’s program. The lesson that the congregation hears is tailored to engage kids of all ages and they have activity packs with them that help them respond to the message with art, creating, and interpreting at their level.
